Starting in the fall of 2000, a young man had to create and
design a business project for his economics class in high school.
He chose to create a small group that would focus on communicating
with other CB and GMRS users. Thus, WestSide Radio Communications
Association (WSRCA) began. During that year, part of the requirements
for completion were to monitor the stock exchange program, make
real business decisions, and create pamphlets or advertising
flyers to draw potential customers towards the "business".
He instead chose to create a website that offered membership
services for this group. Apparently this was a huge success,
because he started receiving actual emails from people asking
how they can join and what they can do to support this group.
-- In August of 2001, two months after his high school graduation,
he decided to move forward and continue serving the local community.
The name changed to Bay Area Repeater Net, and the rest is as
you see it today.
In August of 2008, we decided to split into two seperate divisions
to better serve our clients: Bay Area Repeater Systems &
Bay Area Repeater Net. Still the same organization and company,
but each division now has it's own unique features, services,
and operations that no other business or organization can achieve.

Bay Area Repeater Systems is now an Icom dealer for Land Mobile
Radio equipment, repeater systems, receivers, and accessories.
We also carry some of the major brands for antennas and accessories,
which allows us to give you more options when building a system
of any size. As of January 2010, we have expanded our services
to include both amateur radio hobbyists and commercial clients,
and offer equipment installations for your home, vehicle, work,
and radio facility.
Since 2001, we have specialized in building repeater systems
and excellent antenna solutions. We also specialize in putting
our clients first in everything we do. These are key ingredients
to having a successful business, which is what our competitors
struggle in. Should your radio or equipment fail at any time,
we will come to you to resolve the issue regardless of where
you bought it from.
When we give you an equipment quote, it expires after three
months. But why, might you ask, do we do this? Dealer and industry
pricing may change often and new products may become available
by then, so we want to give you the best pricing available. This
will then give you an opportunity to relook at the equipment
you need and allow us to provide you with an adequate and up
to date quote for you, your organization, or your company.

equipment go through testing phases to guarantee that they will
